What's happening
Open Day | 14th November
Our students grow as confident multilingual communicators in a bilingual environment that honours Greek heritage while opening doors to the world. They experience multilingualism as a substantial pathway to understanding, mutual respect and collaboration between peoples.
Our Bilingual Programme supports native-level English fluency - from Early Years to Grade 10, students can learn, play and think in both Greek and English, with half of their learning time delivered in English by native-speaking teachers within a rigorous, globally recognised framework. Learners further expand their linguistic repertoire through additional foreign languages and international certifications, including French, German and Spanish.
Bilingual learning
Learners can embark on a unique Greek-English Bilingual Programme from Early Years to Grade 10. They deepen their understanding of Greek language and tradition while developing English to native-speaker level, combining “learning the language” and “learning with the language” across subjects.
International language certifications
Learners prepare for Cambridge and Michigan English exams, as well as DELF (A1–B1/B2), Goethe‑Zertifikat (A1–B1) and DELE (A1/A2), with exam readiness embedded in learning. Their English proficiency is further validated worldwide through the MYP Certificate.
Real-world language use
Pupils use languages in real-life contexts through cultural celebrations such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and St Patrick’s Day, international school trips and Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, building global awareness and confidence.
Multilingual pathways
Learners explore French, German or Spanish, progressing through proficiency-based groups that support language development, guided by expert teachers and structured pathways towards recognised diplomas.
Technology-enhanced language learning
Students use technology to support their language learning, from interactive whiteboards to 1:1 iPads and online platforms that extend learning beyond the classroom.
Our students learn through languages, with the opportunity to pursue a Greek-English bilingual pathway from early childhood to adolescence. Cultural experiences and additional opportunities in further languages such as Spanish, German and French enrich their multilingual journey.
Children who join our Greek-English Bilingual Programme experience both languages as a natural part of everyday life. They learn in English every day with native speaker teachers, benefiting from a programme supervised and certified by the International Baccalaureate.
From the very beginning, English and Greek develop in parallel through the complementary approaches of “learning the language” and “learning with the language”.
Students in our Bilingual Programme deepen their journey through a partial immersion model of fifteen hours per week. Native speaker teachers deliver English across multiple subjects, making it a natural medium for learning.
Beginning in Grade 1, students engage with global celebrations, European trips and a Trilingual pathway in French, German or Spanish, formally integrated into the timetable from Grade 3. By Grade 6, opportunities such as Model United Nations (MUN) foster public speaking, critical thinking and international awareness.
In Middle School, students in the Bilingual Programme continue their partial immersion experience through subject learning and interdisciplinary projects that build advanced fluency. Third-language learning in French, German or Spanish is organised by proficiency level and prepares students for certifications including DELF, Goethe-Zertifikat and DELE.
Students may also pursue Ancient Greek certification through LanguageCert (A1–B1). By the end of this phase, learners can further strengthen English-medium learning and prepare for Cambridge and Michigan qualifications, including ECCE and ECPE.
Students in the Greek-English Bilingual Programme continue building on the foundations developed in the MYP through Grade 10.
In their final MYP year, they choose between the MYP Certificate pathway, with increased English-medium learning, or the Bilingual stream, which prepares them for Cambridge and Michigan examinations including KET, PET, FCE, CPE, ECCE and ECPE. Students also continue studying French, German or Spanish in proficiency groups, typically achieving B1 certification by Grade 10.
In the IB Diploma years, students build on the strong foundations achieved in the MYP within a demanding pre‑university framework.
English remains at the heart of their learning, serving both as the IB curriculum language and as the first foreign language in the Greek Programme, consolidating the high level of fluency already evidenced. Students also carry forward the proficiency developed in their chosen additional language, further enriching their multilingual profile.
Through a rich mix of language experiences, we help students build the skills and resilience they need to thrive.
Alongside Greek and English, students can choose additional languages as they move up the school. French, German and Spanish are available, with preparation for recognised qualifications such as DELF, Goethe-Zertifikat and DELE.
Step by step, learners go from first exposure to fluent use, gaining both linguistic skills and cultural insight.
Language certifications are woven into everyday learning, not treated as a separate track. Through our experiential approach, students are fully prepared for exams from the University of Cambridge and the University of Michigan and for the MYP Certificate, which further validates their English fluency.
Preparation is integrated so that exams feel like a natural milestone, not the final goal.
Through ISP's International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS), students engage in cultural exchanges, debates and creative projects, growing their language skills.
Students also participate in exchanges that provide unforgettable opportunities to use and develop their language skills while building leadership, communication and initiative, equipping them to thrive inside and beyond school.
At my school I have a wonderful time. We play many games, we go out to the garden and we learn English and many new things. Our teacher surprises us and we are very happy.
