What's happening
Open Day | 14th November
At Platon School, digital classrooms, specialist labs for science, robotics, computing and the arts, together with well-equipped sports facilities, create a fluid environment for interdisciplinary learning. Students read, research, perform and collaborate in the library, creative plazas and planetarium, while younger learners explore the renovated garden and the atelier. From 2026-27, Grade 11 and 12 students will learn in a new purpose-built Lyceum, completing a connected, future‑ready campus.
Library
Spacious, peaceful library that welcomes students, staff and parents. Bilingual resources, digital catalogues and a Mac-equipped computer corner support reading, independent research and IB projects.
Planetarium & observatory
On-campus planetarium and observatory where students explore astronomy and space science. The space hosts immersive shows, hands-on activities and student-produced radio programmes, turning curiosity about the universe into meaningful, enquiry-led learning.
Science & robotics labs
Fully equipped science and robotics labs supporting Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Sciences. Students design experiments, carry out investigations and engage in STEAM projects that build critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration.
IT facilities
On-site IT labs, including a dedicated computer lab and digital learning spaces, support coding, research and project work across the school.
Amphitheatre plazas
First and second floor amphitheatre-style plazas used for presentations, debates, meetings and rehearsals. These flexible hubs support student voice and leadership, giving learners a real audience for their ideas and performances across the school year.
Auditorium
An indoor auditorium hosts concerts, productions, assemblies and guest speakers. The space elevates student voice and creativity, offering a professional setting for public speaking, performance and whole-school gatherings.
Music classrooms
Specialist music classrooms support individual practice, ensemble work and music technology projects. Equipped for instruments and recording, these spaces help students express ideas, emotions and identities through sound.
Art studios
Dedicated art rooms and the atelier provide light, space and materials for drawing, painting and mixed-media work. Students experiment with technique, scale and concept, building confidence as independent, visually literate creators.
Dance studio
A purpose-designed dance studio with mirrors and sprung flooring enables safe dance training. Here students build strength, poise and discipline while working towards performances that celebrate dedication and artistry.
State-of-the-art classrooms
Light-filled classrooms equipped with digital learning tools support small classes, group work and personalised pathways.
Theatre & drama spaces
Specialist theatre and drama areas created for movement, role-play and performance. Flexible and well-equipped, these spaces support drama lessons from Early Years to Grade 4.
Early Years garden
The renovated Early Years garden, complete with vegetable patch and Plato’s Olive Tree, invites younger children into daily contact with nature. Play, exploration and early enquiry blend in a calm, green setting that supports a gentle start to school life.
Nature Lab
Rooted in Garden-Based Education and Forest School approaches, the Nature Lab is a dynamic space where students learn through direct contact with nature. Here, they observe, investigate and explore ecosystems firsthand.
Indoor swimming pool
An indoor swimming pool supports curriculum lessons, clubs and team training throughout the year. Water confidence, stamina and technique grow alongside resilience and a lifelong appreciation of active, healthy living.
Indoor basketball court
Full-sized indoor basketball court provides a professional setting for physical education, clubs and matches. Fast-paced play builds agility, tactical thinking and teamwork in a safe, all-weather environment.
Football stadium
The campus football stadium offers a dedicated arena for training, fixtures and sports days. Competitive matches and shared victories strengthen school spirit while developing endurance, coordination and fair play.
Student safety and wellbeing guide everyday life on campus. Platon School is secured around the clock, with staff at the entrance 24/7 and strict registration for anyone entering during school hours. Students who arrive or leave by private transport scan a personal barcode at the gate, giving families real-time updates and an extra layer of reassurance. Pick-up is supervised by staff, ensuring that departures are organised and safe.
We are located in a beautiful natural setting at the foot of a hill, in a quiet residential area with easy access to main roads. A renovated Early Years garden, a new pedestrian entrance to the main courtyard and light-filled learning spaces reflect the school’s commitment to a welcoming, well-organised environment. School bus routes serve most areas in Attica, helping families reach the campus easily and safely.
Students, staff and families work together to care for the campus and local green spaces by reducing waste and protecting the environment.
As a certified Eco-School, we use our outdoor spaces to help students connect learning with nature and sustainable habits. Through environmental projects, Service as Action and community initiatives, they see the real impact of their choices and feel empowered to drive change.
